Visitors Monday of Mrs. S. W. Riley were Mrs. Margaret Ellison and Mrs. Maude Sinclair of The Plains.

Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Priest and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence and their families celebrated Father’s Day with dinner at the Steer House in Culpeper.

The Rev. J. S. Stirman has returned home after att tending the Southern Baptist Convention held last week in Houston, Tex. i Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Poe had as guests Sunday for a cookout Mrs. Violet Welch of Arlington, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Corbin and family of Manassas, Mrs. Hester Poe, Mrs. Debbie Flock and Brian, Greg Poe, Irva Poe, Mrs. Nelson Corbin and Jimmy Riley. The celebration was in honor of the birthday of Mrs. Welch.

Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Burner were entertained by their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Davis of Warrenton, for Father’s Day dinner in a Culpeper restaurant.

Spending Monday with Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Zinn were Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Tilley, Lisa, Greg and Paul of Fairfax. Guests during the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Ron Makla of Virginia Beach, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zinn of Culpeper and Debbie Zinn, a student at Radford College, Mrs. Robert Jeffries of Lynchburg who is visiting E. G. Hackley while Mrs. Hackley with her brother, Curtis Zinn of Gainesville, are spending a few days in Tennessee and Kentucky.

4-H Help Wanted

A woodworking instructor is needed for Rappahannock’s 4-H day camp, set for July 16-20 at the Hazel River camp near Boston. Anyone willing to help with morning classes is asked to contact Nancy Secrist at the VPI Extension office, 6753619.
