Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of magnolia parchment satin fashioned on Empire lines, with a portrait neckline formed by reworked Alencon lace, a fitted bodice and short sleeves. The full skirt flowed into a wide, circular train which was appliqued with medallions of the same lace.
Her chapel length veil, enhanced with lace appliques, fell from a candlelight Camelot cap of reembroidered Alencon lace. She carried a cascade of phalaenopsis orchids and stephanotis.
Miss Frances Townes Abbitt was honor attendant for her sister. Her apricot knit dress with an A-line pleated skirt and crystal pleated bodice was complemented by a chiffon oversheath. Her flowers were a cascade of mixed greens and sonia roses.
