Whether this gas shortage is real or whether it has been deliberately created by the corporate giants to swell the bulging oil company coffers makes no difference to the little people. There’s less gas at the pumps for us to buy. That’s the bottom line.

Here in Rappahannock, we’re getting a taste of the inconveniences faced by gas starved motorists in California, Texas and Northern Virginia. Our local service stations have been cut back by anywhere from 10 to 30 percent of normal fuel supply. As a result, operators have been forced to reduce hours and impose maximum purchases.
