Ambiguous

To the editor:

I have recently posed twc questions at public meetings to which I have received ambiguous answers. Perhaps a discussion in public would help to resolve these questions.

The first was directed to the Town Council of Washington. It concerned the lack of definition of the limits of the Town. Washington has existed since 1833 without defined boundaries as far as I can tell. With the recent advent of the county’s Zoning Ordinance, we now have two jurisdictions where different rules apply. In order to be fair to all parties concerned, an attempt should be made to fix limits on the town so that people cannot circumvent the county zoning ordinance by claiming their property is in town, and vice versa.
