Lisa Larimer, Tara Welty, Nicholas Bischoff, Robert O’Neill, Scotty Reid, Michael White, and Stacky Skowronski. German awards were presented Denis Dierig and Jerry Smith. Latin Awards went to Nancy Massie, Scotty Reid, Stacy Skowronski, and for Advanced Latin, to Jerry Smith. Also presented to Stacy Skowronski was an award form the classical Association of Virginia for her Latin essay on Pompeii. The school’s Greek awards went to Stacy Skowronski and Michael White.
Other awards were presented Amelie von Ludwig, for Science; Denis Dierig, for Advanced Mathematics; and Susan Courtney for History. Denis Dierig, a junior, was also cited as a 1979 National Merit Scholarship finalist.
The school’s most prestigious prize, the Dr. William Lynn Memorial Award for Academic Excellence, was won by Tobias Dengel in the Primary School; Lisa Larimer in the Grammar School; and Stacy Skowronski in the Preparatory school.
The Teacher-of-the-Year Award was presented by the students to Mrs. Nancy Lowry, the teacher of Logic.
