Farmers’

Market

The Rappahannock Farmers’ ‘ Market is scheduled to open Saturday, May 24 at 9 a.m. on Route 211 west of Washington next to the Rappahannock Farmers’ Cooperative building. The market grounds have been cleaned up and new signs should be in place by opening day. At the approaches to the market site the fence rows have been cleared to insure better views for motorists. ‘

According to head vendor Marshall Burke, spaces have been marked for vendors and hopefully marker posts will be erected by opening day.

At the May .7t!> market meeting Valerie Jones of Atnissville and Ed Bailey of Washington were named to the board of directors, and the association voted to charge an extra *10. fae tor vendors who wished to be on the market every day excent Sunday.
