Boy’s Track
The boy’s track team sent two competitors to the regionals, each in two events. To qualify, Paul Keithley ran the 120 hurdles in 17.5 and Intermediate hurdles in 43.2 at the District Meet. He failed to place in the regionals.
Chris Foster placed in the district meet at the high jump clearing 6’0”, and ran the 440 yard dash in 51.2. Foster also placed in both events at the regionals, reaching 5’10” in the high jump and finishing the 440 in 54.1, both for fourth place finishes. The final standings at the girls district meet were: Stonewall Jackson (132) Central (112) Montevideo (49) Rappahannock (32) Strasburg (28) William Monroe (26) Madison (23) Luray (17) Elkton (6) and Page (4).
In the regionals. Stonewall was again first with 103, followed by Fluvanna (66) Central Woodstock (64) and Rappahannock (42).
The Lady Panthers finished ahead of 14 other schools.
