John Schaefer, who lives a quarter mile away, said he objected to the noise, “to the oral pollution’’ from the camp meeting. He added that he also objected to the visual pollution, describing the site as a big, ugly parking lot development with a bad erosion problem.”
James Prudhum, who’s home is located just a tenth of a mile from the site, added his opposition to granting the variance on the grounds that the camp will adversely affect property values and create a disturbance with excessive noise from the camp meetings. “Consider our rights as well as the rights of those who are trying to worship God,” he asked the BZA.
