property which was identified only as part of a 35-acre parcel presently zoned for agricultural use. The rezoning request was for a change to B-2, General Business or Commercial Use.
Making the request of the Planning Commission was Jerry Mills, son of the property owner, who explained to the Commission members that he planned to use the land for a garage and an automobile inspection station. Mftls said that the property iti question joins a lot already zoned commercial - used as the site of his father’s store.
During questioning by E. P. Luke, the applicant said that the area in question was
in fact currently being used as an auto repair garage and that he already had the license needed to operate as an inspection station.
Newbill Miller maintained that advertisements for the hearing had been misleading in that no acreage was mentioned. Miller said that he understood that the exact location and size was difficult to determine without a survey, but that a better description of the land might make a survey unnecessary.
