Wakefield Preparatory School senior Amelie von Ludwig has been named a National Merit Scholarship Commended Student for her outstanding performance in the 26th annual National** Merit Scholarship Program.
Scoring among the top five percent of the participants, she was one of the 33,000 students throughout the United States to receive a commendation for outstanding test performance.
Miss von Ludwig, the 15 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David von Ludwig of Front Royal, has attended Wakefield for the past four years. She will be graduated in June from Wakefield and has plans to attend Harvard University where she will major in biochemistry.
