Book Fair
The Rapphannock County Elementary School will sponsor a student Book Fair from October 6 to October 14. Students will have an opportunity to browse and to purchase the books which will be on display in the Library from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
All students, parents, and visitors are invited to attend the Book Fair during the week and especially October 13 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. when a Parent-Teacher Conference is scheduled.
The Fair will encourage student interest in reading and in building home libraries. It will contribute to a worthwhile project for all profits will be used for purchasing new books for the Library, according to Lucia Kilby. Librarian.
“Your son or daughter will bring home 0 slip with the titles of books which he has selected and wants to buy. Please make any changes that you wish and return the slip with the money no later than October 14,” said Mrs. Kilby. “Money will be collected daily in the Library,” she added. “You are welcome to come in any time and look at the books and purchase any that you’d like to have. All books will be on display in the Library during the ParentTeacher Conference on Monday. October 13. Money will be collected at that time also." Mrs. Kilby stated.
