John Hall, another adjoining land owner, was next to appear and he spoke for himself and Steve Bullock, also a land owner. Hall read a letter from Bullock, who was unable to appear in person, requesting that the Commission assign the least intensive zoning possible to allow Mills to operate his business. Bullock enclosed pictures of a group of old cars that were stored on the property but Hall said that the cars were screened from the road by hedgerows.

Bullock said in his letter and Hall repeated in person that neither man wanted to stand in the way of Mills’ efforts.

Miller told Hall that the zoning applied for was the mildest zoning change possible in this case and that a special use permit would not allow the operation of a garage.

The Commission heard several short statements by other adjoining land owners in favor of the zoning change before making the recommendation that the supervisors grant Mills’ request if a better property description is furnished.
