An alcohol fuel conference sponsored by VPI’s extension service will be held October 28 and 29 at Blacksburg. The conference will be oriented toward the individual who is trying to decide whether to become involved in alcohol maufacturing. It will not be a training session on how to make fuel. If interest is expressed, however, a subsequent meeting will be scheduled on that topic.
The conference program on October 28 and 29 will include presentations on the general state of the alcohol movement, the general energy situation, feedstocks, fermentation and distillation, feeding by-products, economics, safety, regulations and financing.
