medicine. And while the majority of members still come from rural areas and small towns, 4-H has begun to embrace city dwellers, tripling its enrollment of urban youth in recent years.
More than 40 million Americans have participated in 4-H activities.
Four-H appears to offer “something for everyone.” Such a program certainly deserves the community support it has received.
The coming week is an excellent time to consider the contribution this program has made to the county and to the country. It is also an excellent time to consider what kind of contribution the community can make to 4-H.
At the very least, it is an excellent time for us all to consider our personal four h’s.
