Holmes
Services for Irvin Hillery Holmes, 73, of Amissville will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Amissville United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ray Crockett will officiate.
Mr. Holmes died April 14 at Fauquier Hospital.
He was a native of Culpeper County, the son of the late John and Lucy Hitt Holmes. Mr. Holmes was a retired television repairman and a member of Amissville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Mae Holmes of Amissville; a daughter, Mrs. Dora Holmes Clatterbuck of Amissville; three sons, Earl H. Holmes of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Charles E. Holmes and John R. Holmes, both of Amissville; 10 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mamie Carter of Cassanova; and a brother, Walter Holmes of Amissville.
