Landscaping class will be held at the Recreation Center on Monday, April 20, at 2 p.m. Mason Hutcheson will be coming from Culpeper Extension Office to give this class on inexpensive ways to landscape your grounds. I hope we will have a large turn out for this session. Bring any questions or personal problems you have encountered with you to this meeting. There will be no charge.

I would like to congratulate the 4-H’ers who participated in the District Contest last Saturday in Culpeper.

The following winners will go to the State Contest at VPI for a week in July:

Judith Bloomer - Home Management; Janine Bloomer - Home Environment; Raynetta Gheen - Humane Society; Kelly Bristol - Parts of the Dog.

The Junior participants were:

Cheryl Gheen, who won a red ribbon with her dog presentation; Jonathan Watson, who won a blue ribbon with his speech on citizenship; Denice Eidson, winning a red ribbon with her talk on “Speech.”

James Nicholson and Greg Dodson won a white ribbon in the Share-the-Fun division singing “The Good Ole’ Boys.” Gaby Lee, Vicky Compton and Kim Hall received a red ribbon for their drama. The Cliff, in the Share-the-Fun Division.
