way north to spend the night in the home church of Captain Holschuh in New Hampton, N.Y., where they enjoyed a cookout and evening of fellowship with the young group there. On the way back, they overnighted in the former church of Mr. and Mrs. Heffern in Long Branch, N.J.. enjoying an afternoon of playing in the surf on the New Jersey shore.
They also took time out tor sightseeing in Maine, touring the state capitol building and state museum in Augusta one afternoon and visiting Bailey’s Island for an afternoon of shell collecting and picture taking on the “rock bound coast'' of Maine.
“This is the first time any of the churches in our Shiloh Association has gone on such a volunteer mission assignment,” noted pastor Lancaster.
Will the group try such a project again? Judging by the resounding "YES", we thinfc they will start planning for next year’s trip in the very near ftiture.
