Travel Up On State Highways June travel on the state’s major highways increased by 3.4 percent over the same month a year^go. according to the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation.
Passenger vehicles registered out-of-state led the way with a rise of 5.1 percent over June, 1981. Travel h> all passenger vehicles was up 3.9 percent. with Virginutregistered passenger vehicles showing an increase of 3.7 percent, compared to the same month a sear ago. Bus and truck travel was up 2.1 percent when compared to June. 1981.
