Decoration Workshop
The Extension Service will be sponsoring a Christmas decorations workshop on December 9, at 7 p.m. at the courthouse in Washington.
Bring whatever you have made in the past - ornaments, wreaths, stockings, etc. This will be a talent-sharing workshop, according to home demonstration agent Birgitt Thornhill.
Bake Sale for Brownies
Brownie Troop 955 will hold a bake sale at Burke’s Store in Woodville, starting at 10:00 on Saturday, December 4. Proceeds will benefit troop activities.
Santa’s Sleigh Arrives
The arrival of Santa in a miniature sleigh down Main Street will signal the opening of Madison's 7th annual Christmas Bazaar and Luncheon this Saturday, December 4. Santa is expected to arrive at 10 a.m. and a special auction is set for 11 a.m. The Bazaar at Waverly Yowell Elementary School on Main Street in Madison will be open until 3 p.m.
Christmas Party
The annual Flint Hill community Christmas party and covered dish dinner will be held on Sunday, December 12. at 5 p.m. at the fire hall. The event is sponsored by the Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary.
Meeting Cancelled
The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary will not have a meeting for the month of December. The next meeting will be held in March.
