News of November 30,
1967 reported that Rappahannock teenagers spent a total of 608,000 in 1966. The money went for records, clothes, used cars, greeting cards, movies, costume jewelry, snacks, sportswear and cosmetics as well as the “thousand and one other things that are of vital importance to youngsters. ”
Bob Estes was pictured on the front page releasing rabbits in the Sperryville area. The rabbits were part of a game restocking project that Estes had undertaken.
Showing at the Washington Theatre were Tammy and the Millionaire and In Like Flint. Front Royal theatres offered a selection: Hot Rods to Hell. Divorce American Style, and Luv. Leather moccasins were on sale at Rosenberg’s in Culpeper for $11.95.
