James Otis Nicholson, 53. of Washington, died Monday, November 22, 1982. in Fauquier Hospital in Warren ton. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Ray Campbell. Burial was in Washington Masonic Cemetery. He was born August 7, 1929. in West Virginia, a son of the late Odie W. and Elizabeth Corbin Nicholson. He was a custodian tor the Arlington County school system. Surviving with his wife. Matilda Frances Nicholson, are three sons, James A. Nicholson of Fort Hood, Texas, Ronald L Nicholson of San Diego, Calif., and Bobby Smoot Nicholson of Washington; four daughters. Dollie A. Harper and Doris J. Thomas, both of Sperryville, Priscilla C. Keys of Washington and Bonnie Keys of Culpeper; one brother, Woodrow W. Nicholson of Winchester; five sisters, Katherine Dodson of Winchester, Dorothy Lilly of Washington, Florence Nicholson of Front Royal, Thelma Nichols and Barbara Nicholson, both of Martinsburg, W. Va. and 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Clarence Baldwin, Junior Ralls, David Alther, W. A. Michael. Tom Duke, C. T. Webber, Leroy Murphy and Harry Lindburg.
