The House bill is now in the Senate Finance Committee while the Senate’s budget has been referred to the House Appropriations Committee for review. The conferees are expected to work out a compromise between the two budgets and issue a report on February 23, according to a proposed budget timetable.
But as Delegate Raymond R. “Andy” Guest, Jr. (R-Warren) said Monday, no one will know for sure whether the money will be in the final budget until the General Assembly approves it at the end of the session.
