Dog Club Holds Match
The Blue Ridge Dog Training Club will hold an AKC sponsored “B” Obedience Match at the Winchester Armory, Winchester, on Sunday, February 27.
There will be classes for sub novice, novice A & B, graduate novice, open A & B and utility, and for brace. Special prizes will be awarded to the highest scoring junior handler in regular classes, highest scoring toy dog in regular classes, highest scoring utility dog and highest scoring novice “A” dog. A qualifying score will be necessary to be eligible for special prizes.

Musical Play For Kids
Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music in Winchester will present its spring children’s theatre production, Don’t Count Your Chickens Until They Cry Wolf, on March 5, 6, 12 and 13 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and at 3 p.m. on Sundays.
Directed by Linde’ Hayen Herman and billed as “a musical play for children of all ages and adults as young in heart as possible,” the play is based on Aesop’s fables. Right before the eyes of the audience, all of the familiar characters — the tortoise and the hare, the ant and the grasshopper, the lion and the mouse, and many others — come to life to tell their story through action and music.
