For their books and Sunday school supplies they scoured Christian magazines and called companies that advertised there. From these suppliers they heard of others, until their shelves were stocked with Christian teaching supplies, Bibles, Bible stories for children and vacation Bible school supplies for every age. Becky and Frances also prowide church supplies. “We can order almost anything that anyone might need for church services from the catalog,” Becky said.
On the shelves now is a selection of books aimed at children, teenagers and adults. One family series, called “When” includes such titles as When a Family Loses a Loved One, When a Story Would Help, and When a Child Needs a Hug.
A series for teenagers, which Becky said is great for grown-ups, too, includes If God Loves Me, Why Can’t I Get My Locker Open? and Falling Off Cloud Nine and Other High Places.
Also included in the church-oriented inventory are religious records and tapes, a category that they hope to expand.
