Dancing

A folk, contra and square dance for beginners and experienced dancers is being held each Tuesday evening at 7:30 at the Waverly-Yowell Elementary School in Madison. Sid and Margaret Gottlieb are the instructors.

Homemakers Meet

The Washington Extension Homemakers will meet on Thursday, February 24, at 1 p.m. at Lucille Price’s residence.

Antique Quilts Shown

The Charlottesville - Albemarle Unit of the American Cancer Society will sponsor its fifth annual quilt show and sale at the Boar’s Head Inn, Route 250 West, Charlottesville, on March 4, 5 and 6.

An unusual assortment of quilts on loan from private collections will be displayed. In addition, antique and new quilts as well as country antiques from Nutmeg Crossing will be offered for sale. Admission to the show, which will be open 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a m. - 4 p.m. Sunday, is $2. For further information, call (804) 293-3010.
