“It is my understanding that the House bill will be used as the vehicle,” Senator Miller confirmed on Tuesday.
In previous years, the House has handled the budget and referred it to the Senate at the end of the session for review. But this year for the first time, the Senate Finance Committee worked on its own budget at the start of the session. The leadership of both houses is reportedly trying to decide which bill to use as the vehicle for the amended budget which must be approved by the full Assembly.
