THERE’S NOTHING LIKE a couple of feet of snow to soften the falls in a winter football game. Youngsters across the county played in a white wonderland after bright sunshine followed Friday’s record storm. The near blizzard that struck the area forced school closings on Friday through Wednesday and cancellation of Saturday’s special session scheduled to make up an earlier snow day.
