“There is no doubt in my mind,” Godsey said, “that this innovative PIK program can be of great benefit to Virginia’s farmers. It can help reduce the need for operating capital, reduce interest costs, and hold production to a more realistic level this year and, if necessary, next year. It can help relieve cash flow problems for many farmers and in the long run improve the general agricultural economy.”

“I sincerely hope that every farmer will study the details of the new program with an open mind and determine its benefits before the end of the sign-up period, March 11,” Godsey said.
