Mrs. Mary Fannie Burke, 65, of Flint Hill died Friday, February 11, 1983, at the Lynn Care Center in Front Royal.
Graveside services were conducted on Wednesday at the Washington Masonic Cemetery by the Rev. John K. Burke, Jr.
Mrs. Burke was bom on January 2, 1918, in Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late James Addie and Mary Scroggins Foster. She was the wife the late Edward Garfield Burke, Sr.
Surviving are four sons, Robert Burke of Washington, Edward Garfield Burke. Jr. of Huntly, John Burke of Fort Myers, Fla. and William Burke of Clearbrook; two stepsons, Benny Burke of Phoenix, Ariz. and A. L. Burke of Flint Hill; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Guy Foster and Mrs. Gathie Fincham, both of Flint Hill; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Also suriving are four brothers, Herbert Foster of Washington, Frank Foster of Woodville, Hoover Foster of Linden and Silas Foster of Winchester and two sisters, Lula Atkins of Washington and Lena Foster of Lynchburg.
