James Jenkins
Retired Carpenter
James Ralston Jenkins, age 74, of Etlan, died Sundy, February 13, 1983, at his residence. Mr. Jenkins was a native and lifetime resident of Madison County. His parents were the late Reuben Ashby and Anna Smith Jenkins. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha Lillard Jenkins of Etlan; one daughter, Mrs. Becky Tucker of Madison; five sons, Randolph Jenkins, Leroy Jenkins and Linwood Jenkins, all of Etlan, Charles Jenkins of Reva and Wilmer Jenkins of Syria; fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Viola Dustin of Laurel, Md., Mrs. Nellie Rider of Locust Dale, Mrs. Agnes Jenkins of Etlan, Mrs. Edna Jenkins of Martinsville and Mrs. Olive Jones of Sperryville and four brothers, Harry Jenkins and Jack Jenkins, both of Madison, Homer Jenkins of Etlan and Bill Jenkins of Covington.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at the Etlan United Methodist Church by the Rev. James Taylor. Burial was in Etlan Cemetery.
Clore F uneral Home in Culpeper was in charge of arrangements.
