Mrs. Flora Walter Latham, age 95, of Viewtown, died Friday, February 11, 1983, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at the Amissville United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 17 by the Rev. Steve Parker and Rev. Ray Crockett. Interment will be in Amissville United Methodist Church Cemetery
Mrs. Latham, widow of lomas William Latham, was a native of Loudoun County but had lived in Culpeper for many years. Her parents were the late William Richard and Viola MacDonald Walter. Mrs. Latham was a member of Amissville United Methodist Church, and was the oldest living member. She was the church organist for about 60 years and taught Sunday School many years. She was also a member of United Methodist Women.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Corrie A. Miller of Colchester, Conn, and Mrs. Frances S. Doyle of Amissville; one son, Richard Latham of Viewtown; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Walter C. Latham and a daughter, Mrs. Virginia M. Smith.
Pallbearers will be Phil Green, Dick Latham, Thomas Taylor, Rudolph Jenkins, Dr. T. W. Armstrong, Graham Hackley, Jimmy Dunn and Franklin Smith.
Memorial contributions may be made to a memorial fund in memory of Mrs. Latham at the Amissville United Methodist Church.
