With the proposed 1985-86 budget, however, Eastham claimed that the “sweettalkers” had gone too far. He then cited numerous reasons why the budget as advertised should be rejected. He faulted the proposed budget for three main reasons: 1) it is inaccurate and misleading, 2) increases in it are unreasonable and have not been justified to the taxpayers, and 3) it does not include “up-coming new demands for fresh money to be raised from the taxpayers... which the supervisors have been discussing recently.”
