Desiree Poehler has been awarded a Bachelor Of Science degree in business from - Bluefield College in Bluefield, Va.
A 1981 graduate of Rappahannock County High School, Desiree is the daughter of Francis E. Poehler of Vermont and the late Dorothy Pullen Poehler.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Libby Jane Pullen of Washington and Charles E. Pullen, also of Washington.
Retirement
Luncheon
The members of Forest Grove Baptist Church in Viewtown gave their former pastor, the Rev. Alexander C. Walker, a surprise retirement luncheon on Sunday, May 19.
He was presented two pewter goblets with his initials engraved on one side and on the other side, FdTest Grove, 1942-44, 1975-85. Rev. Walker left Forest Grove in 1944 and went into the Army as a chaplain during World War II.
He was also presented a zebco, tackle tote and a rod and reel set.
Rev Walker is retiring after 48 years in the ministry.
