Mrs. R. E. Thompsen was hostess to the Sperryville Bridge Club on Friday night

Her guests were Mrs. Dale Metzinger, Mrs. W. H. Cordle, Mrs. Roy L. Reeve, Mrs. Ulrich Maeyer, Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr., Mrs. Mary Quaintance, Mrs. Frances Tabler and Mrs. N. K. G. Tholand.

Prize winners were Mrs. Tholand, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Maeyer:

Mrs. Dorothy Jeffries of Kremmling, Colo., daughter of Mrs. Mabel J. Deal, is a patient in the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

Mrs. Mabel J. Deal has returned to her home after having the misfortune to fall and break her arm while visiting her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Deal in Culpeper.

Mrs. Lorraine Tompkins of Tucson, Arizona, spent two weeks in June visiting her sister, Mrs. Adelaide Dodson. She also attended the family reunion of Tier father and mother, the late Ira H. Brown and Gertrude Nicholson.

Last Wednesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sherman, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Sutherland and Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Sanford and son, Lyle Sanford of Orange were dinner guests of Mrs. T. M. Johnston and Mary Quainstance at the Toliver House in Gordonsville.

Mrs. Rodes Brown, Jr., has returned to her home in Tazewell after spending several weeks with her sister, Mrs. J. W. Fletcher.

Mrs. Ruby Dwyer has received word of the death of her husband, Sam Dwyer in Johnson City, Tenn. Mrs. Dwyer spent several days last week
