On July 10, Jamieson went to the regular Town Council meeting to inquire further about a variance for the library. Mayor Peter Kramer told her the Town Council no longer has the authority to hear variance requests because of its decision to form a town BZA. The problem is that the BZA members have vet to be chosen. Kramer said he will ask the Circuit Court judge to make the appointments as soon as possible.
In the meantime, the debate over how to create more library space continues. According to Colonel Luke, the issue is not new. He says it has been brewing in various forms for about as long as the library has been around.
