Rappahannock Board of Supervisors Chairman Hubert Gilkey said that .he board has taken the position that ;he county no longer pays any livestock :laims since livestock is not taxed any nore as personal property by the rounty. “In the past, claims were supposed to come out of the dog pound \ind, but the dog pound fund isn’t mough to pay for the dog pound or for he dog warden’s salary, much less ivestock claims,” Gilkey said.
