Mrs. Frances Tabler soent several days last week with Mrs. Dixie Caton in Arlington. They entertained at a luncheon for Dr. Grace Quinn and Mrs. Mildred Myers. Tuesday Mrs. Tabler attended her Arlington Bridge Club at Seven Comers. Mrs. R. E. Thompsen and Mrs. Tabler were in Falls Church to see her granddaughter, Diane Marcey participate in a special activity. Mrs. Tabler’s brother-in-law, Mr. Stuckey was a guest Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Codding and family of Fairfax spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. George W. Hawkins. On Sunday Mrs. Hawkins, Mrs. Codding and daughters, Cady, Cally, and Claire, and Mrs. B. M. Varner had lunch in Front Royal. The Sunday School of the United Methodist Church held their annual picnic Sunday at the 4-H Center near Front Royal. Mr. and Mrs. Ranny Aylor and daughter Heather returned Saturday from a vacation at Colonial Beach and Silver Lake near Haymarket. They were overnight guests Friday of Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Aylor and son David in Woodbridge and also visited Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Cozzo in Falls Church. Mrs. T. M. Johnston spent Sunday in Charlottesville with Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Meade, Brooks and Bethany to celebrate Brooks’ second birthday. Mrs. Florine Estes with Mrs. Elmer Atkins, Nancy-and Amy Noakes of Flint Hill, Martha Alther of Front Royal and Ruth Berry of Harrisonburg have returned after a vacation to Yellowstone National Park and other places of interest. The Administrative Board of the United Methodist Church met on Monday night at the home of Mrs. Lee Swindler. Present were the Rev. and Mrs. Merlin Shorb, Mrs. Virginia Lewis, Mrs. Nina B. Brown, Nelson Nethers, Mrs. Robert W. Brown, Hugh Chrisman, Mrs. Tom Klatko and Sara, Mrs. Jimmy Wayland, Mrs. Catherine Brown and Mrs. Ranny Aylor.
