Snead’s sheep herd, found the three sheep when he went for the flock’s early morning feeds. “The first one was a 250-pound ewe,” Updike said. “She had cuts over her and one of her hind legs was pretty well eaten up so we had to put her to sleep.” Updike said that, since she was still walking around, there was no way to know where she was attacked so that tracks or other information could be looked for.
