Route 17 project

The widening of Route 17 between Warrenton and Marshall — including improvement of the infamous “Bethel Curve” — will start next July, with completion expected in 1989.
The State Highway and Transportation Board unanimously voted Thursday to widen the narrow, serpetine 10mile stretch road in northern Fauquier County.
