The Administrative Board of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church met on Monday, July 15, with Mrs. Barbara Gentry with ten members present.

The Flint Hill Extension Homemakers Club held their annual picnic July 9 at the home of Mrs. Wade Pullen.

Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Jack Curtis, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Russell, Mr. and Mrs. Moe Walker, Mrs. Carson Lillard, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McCulloch, Mrs. Ethel Pullen, Bemie Gilpin, Mr. and Mrs. John Ralph, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Brady, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Duvall, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Jenkins and son, Willie Gentry, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Bywaters, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Butler, Daniel and Todd, the Rev. and Mrs. Merlin Shorb, Mr. and Mrs. Dougie Bywaters, Arland Welch, Cindy Bywaters and Lyle Foster.

Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Pearson of Hume were guests Saturday of Mrs. Wade Pullen.

The annual picnic of the United Methodist Churches was held Sunday at the 4-H Center near Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Louis Miller, Jr., of Odenton, Md., were guests Sunday of Mrs. Paul Miller.

Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Cloud of Arlington spent last weekend with Mr. Cloud’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lillard.

Sunday guests of the Lillards were their daughter, Mrs. Linda Pierpoint and son, Ned, Jr., Sharen Haney of Alexandria and Lisa Pierpoint of Seattle, Washington.

Keith Kinsey of Front Royal spent the weekend with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Huff.

Mrs. Grady Vest spent last Thursday with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. David Calisto at Warrenton. On Friday they went shopping in Manassas and Fairfax.

Mrs. Paul Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Howell and family spent a recent week at Atlantic Beach, N. C.

Mrs. Barbara Gentry attended the state postmasters convention at Crystal City recently.

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Welch spent the weekend at their cabin on the Shenandoah River. They were joined on Sunday by Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Welch and Katie of Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. David Lenox of Chestertown, Md., Kenny Nutter of Florida, Denny Nutter and son, Dennis, Jr. of Annapolis, Md., were guests last Saturday of Mrs. Warren Presgraves. Visiting on Friday were Mrs. Mary Martin and Junior Bolton of Florida.

Guests Sunday of Mrs. Presgraves were Mr. and Mrs. Ivory Atkins, and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Mack of Front Royal visited her Monday.

Miss Sallie Lillard visited Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Woodard at Culpeper on Sunday.

Bobby Smoot of Culpeper was a dinner guest Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. A. 0. Smoot.

Sunday visitors of Mrs. Robert Nethers were Mrs. Dorothy Lewis, Charles Corder, Jr., and Mrs. Helen Coffey. Calling later in the evening were Mrs. Polly Aylor, Heather Aylor and Sandy Dodson.

Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Brady and Mr. and Mrs. Carson Lillard took a trip to Nashville, the Smokies and Gatlinburg, Tenn. Enroute home they visited Mr. Brady’s sister, Mrs. Irene Hamilton in High Point, N. C. Mrs. Hamilton accompanied them home and is spending a week with her mother, Mrs. Moffett Brady.

Mrs. Leigh Anoia, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Vest and granddaughter Meredith of Virginia Beach spent last weekend with Mrs. Christine Vest. They all attended funeral services on Sunday for Mrs. Christine Vest’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Louise Looney, at Woodstock.
