The final architectural plans for a $1.2 million expansion project at Rappahannock High School has been approved by the State Board of Education, nearly 10 years since talk first surfaced publicly about expansion.
The Rappahannock School Board received notification of the approval at its regular monthly meeting Tuesday night.
The local school system now is put on a waiting list for state Literary Loans, low-interest money available for building construction. “This is great news,” said board member Nancy Reeve.
