ry Virginia Koontz and John Wilh<\m Morgenstieme Coleman, both of Alexandria, exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 7 at 4:30 p.m. in Christ Episcopal Church in Millwood. The Reverend Edward Guthrie Brown officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. Hedrick Davis Koontz, of Winchester, and the late Margaret Hayes Koontz. Mrs. John Adolphus Bernard Dahlgren, of Huntly, and Mr. John Howard Coleman, of Locust Valley, New York, are the groom’s parents.
The bride wore a formal length gown of ivory satin and re-embroidered Alencon lace with a cathedral length train and long veil of English net appliqued with matching Alencon lace. She carried a long cascade bouquet of gardenias, stephanotis, white roses and baby’s breath backed with English ivy. She was given in marriage by her father.
Honor attendants were Mrs. Richard Grayson Sponseller, of Berryville, and Mrs. Christopher Pickett Blair, of Richmond. They wore gowns of azalea pink moire’ taffeta and carried cascade bouquets of mixed summer flowers and English ivy.
