Atoka Supper
planned Saturday
White House Chief of Staff Donald T. Regan will address the more than 3,000 Republicans expected to attend the 1985 Atoka Country Supper, Virginia’s premiere annual political event, on Saturday at Atoka Farm near Middleburg.
Atoka is the home of Sen. John Warner.
Other Republicans candidates for state-wide offices who are expected to attend include Wyatt Durrette for governor, John Chichester for lieutenant governor and W. R. (Buster) O’Brien for attorney general.
The Atoka Country Supper kicks off the fall campaign.
Also expected to attend are Sen. Paul S. Trible and Congressmen French Slaughter, Stan Parris and Frank Wolf, as well as former governors John Dalton and A. Linwood Holton.
Mary Timmerman of Amissville is a co-chairman of the event.
Tickets to the dinner cost $30 per person. The rainout date is Sept. 15.
