Rappahannock Elementary School and Rappahannock High School gifted/talented students in grades four through 12 had opportunities to attend six programs offered through local colleges this summer. Most of the tuition and transportation costs were covered by the gifted/talented fund of the Rappahannnock County School system.
The Lord Fairfax Summer Youth Enrichment Program included four courses for students to choose from. Will Adams, Jan Herman, Patrick O’Meara, Alice Reeve, Matthew Eidson, and Sherry Burke attended “Phun With Physics.” Shannon Eastham, Karen Moore, Rachel Combs, Kelly Lawler, Camilla Jones, and Michael Shotton selected “Introduction to Basic Programming.” Denice Eidson and Laura Horton chose “Basic Photography.” Melanie Moffett and James Stone participated in “Creative Wirting for Young People.”
