In memory of Lyle Rector, who departed this life two months ago. This poem was written by a member of the Chester Gap Baptist Church choir, of which he was a member also! We have seen another brother, Cross onto that golden shore. He has parted from us here on earth We'll see his face no more. He brought such joy, into our hearts, When he was with us here. Our lives will never be the same,, Because he won’t be near. Our hearts they feel so saddened That he is gone from this green earth. But we feel so much better knowing,
This is just his spiritual birth. He's gone on to be in glory, With our Father up above. Well never forget his presence here, And always remember him with love. It is difficult to understand, When we're feeling so much pain, Why at this time, he left us, And well never see him again. But each of us, as Christians, know, Within our hearts so deep, There's no reason for sorrow at all, For brother Lyle is at God's feet. He’s living in the glory land, With the loved ones gone before. Someday well be with him again, Where parting and sorrow are no more. There will be no more weeping, No more doubts and no more fears, His soul will forever be with Jesus, Forever more throughout the years.
