The Food and Security Act of 19K5 amended certain provisions of law concerning the election of Community and County ASC Committees, according to officials of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. All counties have been divided into three local administrative areas. Community committeemen will be elected for a staggered 3-year term with an election of community committeemen being conducted in one of the local administrative areas each year. In order to convert to the new procedure, this year it will be necessary to elect community committeemen for a 1-year, 2-year and 3-year term respectively among the three local administrative areas.
