The Forest Grove Baptist Church of Viewtown will celebrate its centennial on Sunday, October 12, with special services of worship and thanksgiving and a fellowship dinner. All friends and former members of the church are invited to join with the present membership in commemorating Forest Grove’s past century of service to the Viewtown community of Rappahannock County.

The centennial celebration at Forest Grove will begin with the 11 a.m. worship service on October 12. The Rev. Teddy Hodge of Louisville, Ky. will be the guest speaker. His father, the late Rev. John Hodge, served as pastor at Forest Grove from 1955 until 1966. At the present time, the Rev. Teddy Hodge is serving as the Director of Pastoral. Care at the Baptist Hospital, East, Louisville.

Following the 11 a.m. service, the church family and its guests will join together in a fellowship meal and a time for renewing old friendships and acquaintances. At 3 p.m. there will be another special service at the church in celebration of the first 100 years of its meeting.
