The Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine announces an opening for a Hospital Administrator/Controller for the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center at Morven Park in Leesburg, Virginia. This University affiliated teaching hospital located 30 miles west of Washington, D.C., employs a staff of 50 professional and para-professional personnel with an annual budget of $1.9 million. The individual hired will be responsible for fiscal affairs, including purchasing, accounting, budgeting and cost reports for all areas of the hospital. Other duties will include coordination of administrative support services such as: word processing, communications, medical records management, admissions/discharge, computer services and physical plant operations. Five years or more experience in veterinary or related medical administration and in other areas such as fiscal service, personnel management, state purchasing and physical plant management is desired. Salary commensurate with experience. Advanced degree desirable. Benefits include health and life insurance, annual and sick leave, paid holidays and paid retirement.
