Surviving are two daughters, Marie Swift of Hopewell and Louise Montgomery of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., a stepson, Charles Burke of Richmond, three stepdaughters, Marie Clatterbuck of Centreville, Bessie Corder and Mary Burke of Manassas, three sisters, Mattie Partlow of Front Royal, Violet McCracken of Fayetteville, N.C., and Cora Poe of Springfield, four grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Her husband Judd Burke predeceased her.
Funeral services were conducted March 1 at the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. John K. Burke and the Rev. James Burke. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Morris Riley
Morris Edward Riley, 74, died Feb. 27 at his home in Front Royal.
Mr. Riley was bom June 9, 1913, in Rappahannock County, the son of the late John and Nancy Riley. He was formerly employed by the Howard Johnson and Virginia Gentleman restaurants in Front Royal.
Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted March 1 at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Cecil W. Jones. Burial was in Nineveh Cemetery.
