Peter Kramer, furniture designer
and cabinet maker in Washington, was recently commissioned by the Dennis Historical Society of Cape Cod, Mass., to design and build a large trestle table for use in the keeping room of the Josiah Dennis Manse. The Dennis House was constructed in 1737 and is now open to the public as a National Historic Site restoration. Kramer’s work was selected after a lengthy search failed to locate a suitable antique.

office moved this week from its old home on the second floor of the bank building. New quarters are in the rear of the old theater building, formerly the offices of Commonwealth’s Attorney Douglas Baumgardner.
The Rappahannock Historical Society will take on the appearance of an old timey general store on Friday evening, March 4, as local residents gather round an imaginery cracker barrel and swap yarns about the “good old days” in the county.
